FAQs

What are the four investment objectives listed on Koch Capital's Investment Roadmap?

The Investment Roadmap helps us tailor our clients' investment portfolios to target Longevity Coverage, Capital Growth, Steady Income and Cash Reserve depending your household's risk tolerance, retirement funded status, available account types for tax management, inflation protection needs and the possibility of living longer than you expect.

The one size portfolio across all accounts doesn't cut the mustard when matching specific investment objectives with the appropriate account type will produce a better long-term, tax-efficient outcome.

What is the Diversification Metric?

The diversification metric (DM), courtesy of Quantext Portfolio Planner, measures how uncorrelated the non-market returns are across the portfolio. The higher the reported DM score, the less correlated (more diversified) the non-market components of individual security returns comprising the portfolio.

You'll also hear the measure referred to as non-market beta or normalized variance. Koch Capital uses DM along with portfolio beta as our primary portfolio diversification measurements. In our opinion, the better (higher) the portfolio's DM score, the higher the probability long-term "sustainable" returns. Click here for more details.
